Throughout college I kept myself immersed in creativity and constantly pushed myself into new directions. For six years I ran a screen-printing business and created a unique brand of clothing and accessories along the way. My experience as an entrepreneur was extremely hands on and very rewarding. I was able to shape a brand identity for both my own company and for clients on a daily basis.
During this time I attended Northern Illinois University and earned a BFA in visual communications. The program was demanding and informative with a high rejection rate that ultimately created better designers and opened the door for some great opportunities. During my senior year I was an intern with Design Resource Center of Naperville Illinois. This dynamic package design firm allowed me to play an active roll in a production environment and be part of the design process for numerous clients like, Tootsie, Valspar, and True Value. The experience and insight I have gained has made a lasting impression on my work and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.
My experience as a full-time designer at Paetzold Design of St. Charles Illinois, was diverse and fast paced. My daily activities included helping new and recurrent clients develop and push their projects into successful finished products. I worked across a wide range of mediums from print to web, and all the way into promotional products for companies like, Suncast, Bosch, Stanley and NVISIA.
With a sponge-like thirst for creative outlet and a feverish passion for progress, I am excited for the future and working hard to make the most of the present.
